Classes

Qigong (pronounced “chee kung”) is a non-impact form of exercise which combines breathing, specific movement patterns, and focused intention in a powerful practice that helps you transform stress, get centered and grounded, and improve your health and energy. The exercises gently stretch and strengthen the physical structure, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and bones.

The movements and breathing also work energetically to help regulate and unblock the energy meridians, which is often a “missing piece” for people who have been trying to resolve chronic health issues, joint pain or stiffness, or who wish to better manage stress and improve energy levels.

Tai Chi is a highly respected martial art that is also taught as a non-impact, mind-body exercise. Its gentle, flowing movements stretch and strengthen the body from the inside out while improving balance, mobility, and stamina. Tai Chi movements and forms help develop sharper mental focus and resilience, leading to a greater sense of personal control.

Why Should You Practice Qigong and Tai Chi?

Many studies on Qigong and Tai Chi have verified their significant health benefits. While Qigong and Tai Chi are becoming more prevalent, much of the instruction out there is focused on the outside form and general stress reduction benefits. With Resilient Wellness Qigong, my teachings go much deeper so you also learn and benefit from the profound energetic cultivation that can lead to positive, meaningful physical, mental, and emotional changes. Instruction is tailored to the specific needs of class members, whether you are new to Qigong and Tai Chi or have some experience and would like to go deeper in your practice.

We also explore other breathing and energy disciplines to ensure a well-rounded, effective approach. You can transform your health and energy levels with this enjoyable way to center yourself, achieve mental and emotional balance, and become more mindful.

Qigong and Tai Chi forms are accessible to anyone. Most of the practice is done standing; however, every exercise can also be performed from a seated position.

Don’t worry if you’ve never done Qigong or Tai Chi before – just follow the instructor, relax and breathe, and go with the flow! You will discover a proven health and energy cultivation method impacting body, mind, and spirit.
